Veganism can cure CANCER

A Swiss model who is running as a parliamentary candidate for the Green Party in Switzerland has said that veganism can cure cancer.

Tamy Glauser, 34, stated that she lives on a vegan diet and only eats vegetables, fruits and nuts.
The aspiring party candidate claimed that a vegan diet can prevent cancer development.
Glauser said: 'Nature cures everything. Vegans' blood can kill cancer cells for example.'
The model's statement shocked internet users. 'This romantic transfiguration of nature does not correspond to reality, illness is a natural process', said one user.
Another added: 'Someone like this wants to go into politics! Well, if you elect someone like that, you do not need to ask what Switzerland's future will look like!'
Glauser cited an American study which allegedly proves the curing powers of veganism.
According to Swiss media, the study Glauser cited only states that eating certain kinds of meat and processed foods can increase the risk of colorectal cancer. The study does not claim to prove that a vegan diet prevents cancer.
Ori Schipper of Cancer Research Switzerland said: 'The results relate to the growth of cancer cells in cell cultures - and are not relevant to people suffering from cancer.
'Unfortunately, cancer is an often unpredictable disease that arises from random mutations and can therefore affect people who have always valued their health.'
However, Schipper did say that more exercise and having a balanced diet, such as eating more vegetables and less red and processed meats, can reduce the chance of getting cancer.
Cancer Research Switzerland warned people not to trust special 'anti-cancer diets' which claim that not consuming carbohydrates and proteins prevent the development of cancer.
The organisation said: 'These 'anti-cancer diets' lack scientific basis'.
Tamy Glauser is famous in Switzerland for being in a relationship with Miss Switzerland 2013, Dominique Rinderknecht. Glauser takes part in both male and female fashion shows.
